Saleemah Staten brings 20+ years experience as a professional and licensed Hairstylist (NJ & NY) to NJ Hair Studio & Spa, where she specializes in Hair Care, Precision Haircutting and various Hair Weaving methods. In addition to working as a Hairstylist, Make-up Artist and Eyelash Technician, she also trains beauty school students, instructors and peers on hair, make-up and beauty techniques. With an extensive background nurtured around education, Saleemah’s services has required her to travel internationally (Africa, Brazil, London, Portugal, and Chile), at the request of her personal and celebrity clients. Her professional work has been featured in Essence magazine, as well as other hair and fashion publications. She has participated in Atlanta and New York Fashion Week and has done work for numerous weddings, proms, fashion events, photoshoots, hair shows, theater performances, and special projects. In 2012, Saleemah established and opened NJ Hair Studio & Spa, with a focus on offering quality beauty services in a professional/relaxed salon environment, offering networking opportunities to other entrepreneurs, and participating in community service projects.
